Urban Development From Space Learning Series: Impacts of Earth Observation on Development
"Achievements and lessons learned from the ESA EO4SD Urban Development initiative under the WB/ESA partnership" The European Space Agency (ESA) has supported a dedicated activity cluster on urban development applications under its Earth Observation for Sustainable Development (EO4SD) initiative since 2016. The main objective of the program was to provide support to International Financial Institutions (IFIs) such as the World Bank on mainstreaming of satellite Earth Observation (EO) services in the urban domain. The Urban Development From Space Learning Series provides an opportunity to present the achievements, lessons learned and to have a dialogue between EO service providers and World Bank counterparts on further collaboration.
