From Theory to Practice – Supporting Regional Integration (Virtual Knowledge Exchange)

Last Day to Enroll:  May 30, 2022
Regional integration helps countries overcome divisions that inhibit the flow of goods, services, capital, people, and ideas. These costly divisions are a constraint to social and economic growth, especially in developing countries. Regional integration allows countries to improve market efficiency; share the costs of large infrastructure projects; decide policy cooperatively and have an anchor to reform; have a building block for global integration; and reap many other non-economic benefits. The Bank’s Open Learning Campus (OLC) and the Transport Connectivity and Regional Integration, Maritime Transport and Logistics Global Solution Group are showing the best case studies in these areas, for all developing regions of the world as part of a learning event. This learning framework will include live sessions (with live translation into English, French, and Spanish) to introduce different aspects of regional integrations such as corridors, logistics cluster, strategic planning, decarbo

Target Audience

• Staff working on Transportation, Trade, Economics and Resilience aspects across the World Bank Group who are interested in improving their understanding of sustainable transport connectivity, logistics and regional integration and how to apply these concepts in investment operations and analytical work to increase benefits and reduce risks and costs. • Client government agencies and project units working on transport and logistics operations who are improving their practices in transport connectivity, logistics and regional integration and how to unlock wider social, environmental and economic benefits from these projects.

the regional integration seems challenging still in ASEAN especially it comes to Myanmar where much people struggles to democracy. Despite these struggles, not only those from policy level but also ordinary citizens of Myanmar should have the knowledge of such integration so that they can prepare and work towards best future scenario and understand the regional politics theoretically and practically.

this is VB, and not a MOOC. Course content mentions quizzes again. will there be quizzes? "Certificate of completion eligibility requires a participant to attend 3 out of the four live weeks, get 80% on all 4 quizzes, participate in the discussion forum and complete the course evaluation."
