About the Presenters

Ros Harvey

Ros is an entrepreneur and experienced senior executive at both national and international levels. She is the Founder and Managing Director of The Yield, an agriculture technology company that helps improve customers’ productivity and manage risks in food and agriculture. It does this by providing on-farm sensors & customised information service to make better decisions at the right time. Bosch and KPMG are corporate investors in The Yield.

Ros worked internationally for 15 years. She was the founder of Better Work, a global flagship program between the World Bank group and the United Nation’s International Labour Organisation. Better Work pioneered the use of novel technology to improve the working lives of millions of women in global supply chains.

Throughout her career, Ros has focused on using data and technology to create public good with private effort.

Ros is also an Adjunct Professor at the Queensland University of Technology’s Institute for Future Environments which is home to their IntelliSensing research program in agriculture.
