Senegal: Protecting the Most Vulnerable from Disasters, Crisis and Shocks

In 2014, the World Bank’s Fund for the Poorest (IDA) approved a $40.5 million credit to help the government establish a safety net system. The project helped design tools that integrate existing safety net programs and created a transparent community-driven process in identifying beneficiaries.
