Rising From the Ashes: Helping Educate Girls in Sierra Leone

When Sierra Leone's Civil war ended in 2002, many children were denied an education because their school buildings had been destroyed in the conflict. But now, schools have been rebuilt with help from the Global Partnership for Education, which is also helping provide families with financial incentive to send girls to class along with the boys.
