Restoring the Isiolo Watershed: Coping with Climate Change

Africa has extensive drylands, and the threat of climate change is already a reality. The causes of climate change have global dimensions, but when it comes to climate change adaptation, the strategies need to be implemented at a community scale.

This video shows a story from Kenya, where local communities in the Isiolo watershed have made a difference in improving the condition of their watersheds. By doing so, the communities are better able to adapt to climate change. This case shows that watershed-based initiatives driven by local communities tend to have a greater chance of success in sustainability.
