The OBA subsidy bridges the gap between the cost of delivering improved SWM services (capital costs, operations, and maintenance costs, and other expenses) and revenues that municipalities can collect for these services. The amount of the subsidy was designed to decrease over time, as services improve and the increases in fee collection rates contribute to cost recovery.

Though, there are many work conducted, but still Nepal needs more awareness on solid waste management techniques. People should have an attention to make the environmental clean and they can! Nevertheless, there are so many result based financing measures were carried out but in Terai region like Nepalgunj, Janakpur, Saptari, Gaur, the conditions are same, no changes. Even the solid waste management are not so effective in the capital city Kathmandu and in valley Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. The awareness program should be targeted to the locals how to manage the daily solid waste and the industrial solid waste.
