Forest stakeholders the world over including governments and particularly forest margin and forest dweller communities are worried about their needs, values, and the environment pertaining to forest changes over time and the effects that these changes have on the forest and their livelihoods. This is especially due to the pressure meted on forests for the ecosystem goods and services it provides to a rapidly growing population. There is therefore need to design a clear and holistic policy for sustainable management and governance.
