Improving Access to Quality Health Services in Rural Afghanistan

Residents of a remote village in Afghanistan's southern Kandahar Province, like Rahm Bibi, are happy about the improved access and quality of health services available in their community. Supported through SEHAT Health Program, the Azam Qala Basic Health Center serves over 13,000 people in Daman district in Kandahar Province. The center offer comprehensive services including pregnancy and post-birth support which is helping reduce maternal and infant mortality.
