In Hot Water: Adapting to Climate Change in Kirbati

Rainwater harvesting systems can provide safer and more reliable access to water for many people in Kiribati. This is just one of the activities being rolled out through the Kiribati Adaptation Program to help local communities better prepare themselves for the impacts of climate change.

Rainfall harvesting and storage especially underground is a win win situation for both humanity and reduction of natural catastrophe like flush floods. New houses should endeavor to have option for rain water harvesting.
