The Global Compact on Refugees: Why we Need Development Partners

The Global Compact on Refugees, led by UNHCR, will be proposed at the UN General Assembly in September 2018 as a new framework for international cooperation to better support refugees and host communities. It envisions a more comprehensive approach that aims to improve responsibility sharing, strengthen national protection systems and response capacity, enhance socio-economic conditions for refugees and hosts, as well as support greater efforts to resolve protracted situations. What does this mean for the World Bank Group? Explore the conversation here with a seven part bite size series exploring the topic with panelist as well as questions and answers from the audience.
