New but very efficient in our time today. Knowing that risks do happened and even disasters strikes when we do not expect it. However, to help us policy makers and those responsible people to come with prepared solutions, funds is a very fundamental aspects of such risks. With the relevant area on how to manage and implement those policies are of great importance as well. Just my overview and suggestions to be able to prepare an efficient budget, financial planner or budgetary group can use the number population of any country and benchmark the amount for finance that is needed for the amount allocation each year. Let say SBD$1000 per head for 687,578 total population in Solomon Islands for year 2018, so the total amount of allocated budget for disaster risk should around SBD$687.6million for that year. So when disaster strikes or cyclone strikes, the government already has a budget allocation for such event and then it will reduce the burden of depending on other countries for assistance. We fixed ourselves first before we ask for other help. Just a thought.
