Alexa serves as Disruptive Technologies Lead, at the International Finance Corporation GEIG, where she leads a team advising the private sector on how disruptive technologies can open new opportunities emerging markets. Recent initiatives include #Digital2Equal, which brings together 18 leading technology companies operating across the online marketplace, and “Driving Toward Equality”, which combined company data from Uber with surveys of over 11,000 drivers and riders to provide the first global insights into how women participate in the sharing economy. Alexa writes frequently on innovation and emerging markets and is a contributor to sites like The Guardian, The Stanford Social Innovation Review, and The Council for Foreign Relations. She holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a MSc Human Rights from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an MBA from the University of Oxford. Charlotte is Head of Uber's Safety and Compliance Operations for Latin America, where she's led the company's strategy and teams across technological and process innovation. In this role, Charlotte also led the company's LatAm Women Safety strategy, which included developing partnerships with Gender-Based Violence prevention and support organizations, building sensitization campaigns for drivers and riders, as well as launching the Uber Ellas feature across Latin America. Prior to this, she spent 5 years at AXA, one of the world's leading insurance companies, where she worked in Public Affairs to create its Road Safety Association, later joined the CEO's Office as Chief of Staff and rapidly became the Head of Transformation and Innovation for its Motor and Property Insurance business in Mexico.
Jiffry Zulfer is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of PickMe. He is an entrepreneur counting 22 years of founding and successfully running several technology-based ventures. Zulfer is a favourite among the pioneers of the local ICT space. Prior to PickMe, he contributed as CTO and part of the founding management of anything.lk , which he successfully exited. Zulfer received the Silver Award under the Extra Large Category, at the FCCISL Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2018.
Terver Bendega is the Regional Marketing Manager for Bolt across Africa. Responsible for growing the demand for Bolt’s services across the region, Terver has been an integral part of growing Bolt’s business in Africa from a few hundred downloads at inception to millions of users across the continent. Prior to working with Bolt, Terver worked in the strategy department of top advertising companies – cutting across industries like telecoms and banking and has an MSc in International Marketing Management (with Distinction) from the University of Leeds in England. A Future Award Nominee for Intrapreneurship, Terver is passionate about developing local talent and driving brands and individuals to achieve creative excellence.
