Expanding Access to Telecommunications Services in Madagascar

The Communications Infrastructure Project (PICOM), supported by the World Bank, has increased access to telecommunications services to more than two million Malagasy, including 660 communities, most of them in rural areas. A reliable and efficient telecommunications network has also facilitated entrepreneurship development in difficult-to-access areas.
