Digital Ag Series: Farmbeats - Empowering Farmers With Affordable Digital Agriculture Solutions

"Leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help make affordable digital agriculture solutions"

Data-driven techniques help boost agricultural productivity by increasing yields, reducing losses, and cutting down input costs. However, these techniques have seen sparse adoption owing to the high costs of manual data collection and limited connectivity solutions. This Webinar describes innovations that leverage the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help make affordable digital agriculture solutions. The Webinar also covers a presentation on Azure FarmBeats, which can be used by organizations to build their digital agriculture solutions.

Azure FarmBeats is a business-to-business offering that enables aggregation of agriculture datasets across providers and generation of actionable insights by building artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models by fusing the datasets. Azure FarmBeats creates farm-map; assess farm health using vegetation index and water index based on satellite imagery. Farmers get recommendations on how many sensors to use and where to place them. FarmBeats track farm conditions by visualizing ground data collected by sensors from various vendors, scout farms using aerial imagery from partner drone companies, get soil moisture map based on the fusion of satellite and sensor data, gain actionable insights by building AI/ML models on top of aggregated datasets, and build or augment digital agriculture solution by providing farm health advisories. Please click here to learn more about Azure FarmBeats.
