Community Grain Bank Helps Afghan Households Fight Hunger

"The Citizens’ Charter Afghanistan Project (CCAP) delivers clean water, electricity, roads and irrigation, healthcare, and education to communities across Afghanistan."

Gul Wazir's household is one amongst hundreds in Guldara district of Kabul province, who have been relieved of hunger with support from a community grain bank. Assistance provided by the grain bank helped Gul Wazir make a living after his grapes harvest was severely affected by two seasons of bad weather. The grain bank is one of 4,000 set up across the country by the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development with support from the Citizens' Charter Afghanistan Project. Category.
