Everybody needs water. But for many people in the Southeast Asia and the Pacific region, access to clean water is far from a reality. World Bank Group projects are making inroads into this massive challenge. For instance, over the past two decades, World Bank funds alone have helped the government of Indonesia build more than 10,000 water-supply facilities in some of its more than 70,000 villages. World Bank Group projects are also providing technical and advisory support to small suppliers to help them become better organized, formalized, more professional, and bankable.
