Building for the Next Billion Job Seekers: Insights from Google's Kormo Jobs

"Can technology help us find better and more efficient ways to connect urban youth with blue or grey collar jobs?"

Google has recently launched Kormo Jobs, a job-matching and career development app, that is operating in Bangladesh, Indonesia, and India, and connects blue or grey collar workers and entry-level job seekers to employment opportunities, providing a quick and easy way to match job seekers with listings of jobs that are not readily available online. Bickey Russell from Google will be sharing his experience in implementing Kormo Jobs, especially in the wake of COVID-19. He will be joined by Kazi Inam Ahmed and Sabbir Nasir - both leaders running private businesses in the retail sector who will share their experience in using Kormo for their recruitment needs.

This session will focus on the insights, learnings, and best practices from implementing Kormo and delve into the practical challenges and opportunities of doing so.
