About the Presenters

Christopher Antoun, Ph.D.

Chris Antoun is an Assistant Research Professor at the Joint Program in Survey Methodology (JPSM) and College of Information Studies (iSchool) at the University of Maryland. He first became interested in surveys when he was a Peace Corps volunteer conducting in-person interviews with farmers in Thailand about fifteen years ago. He went on to earn an MS and PhD in Survey Methodology from the University of Michigan. After that he was a postdoctoral researcher at the U.S. Census Bureau. He currently serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Survey Statistics and Methodology and Public Opinion Quarterly. At JPSM, he teaches courses about data collection methods and survey errors.
