Due to social distancing practices in place from the spread of COVID-19, many national survey organizations are beginning to conduct interviews over the phone rather than in-person. However, some of these organizations have limited experience using phones as a mode of data collection. This training course provides a broad overview of phone surveys. Participants will learn about relevant design decisions in phone surveys and how data quality and costs are affected by these decisions.
The course will be divided into several topic modules that focus on different aspects of data collection, including sampling, questionnaire design, and data quality monitoring.
